Chris Whittington joined Williamson Fontenot Campbell & Whittington as a partner in 2016 after over twenty years of practice as lead attorney at The Whittington Law Group. Chris received his Juris Doctorate in 1992 from Southern University Law Center and his Bachelor of Science degree in Finance in 1987 from Louisiana Technical University.
Chris has spent more than two decades representing injured persons in general civil litigation, significant personal injury and maritime law. He has experience litigating gaming, election law, public records law and other complex areas of the legal practice for selected clients. He has tried dozens of jury trials throughout the state of Louisiana. Chris was twice elected Chairman of the Louisiana Democratic Party in 2006 and 2008. He is a member of the Louisiana Association for Justice (formerly serving on the LAJ’s Board of Governors), the American Association for Justice and on the Louisiana Court Reporters Board. Chris is an Elder at University Presbyterian Church. He is married to Jo Ann Lea Whittington and is the father of two beautiful twin daughters.
